My name is Ria Horn and being the sole proprietor of -Factor-s- would like to provide a brief profile of my history in the Real Estate Industry.

I joined the Real Estate industry during 1984 and quickly found that the service orientation of the industry suited my work style and personality. Working with different people and assisting them in finding homes suited to their taste, pockets and style as been an ongoing pleasure in my life.

I have stayed in touch with all the changes that the industry experienced over the years, and has kept up to date with ongoing training and changes in the laws governing the buying, selling and renting Property in South Africa.

Having worked during periods with interest rates ranging from 9% through to 25%, in my opinion, the current rate at 15% - located right in the middle range - should not be viewed as a total negative period in the property market.

I am inclined to compare -The National Credit Act- that came into effect in June 2007, with an instruction that a client of mine received from a banking institution during the 1980-s, for a letter confirming that she has had a hysterectomy before a bond could be granted to her and her husband. My advice is to inform yourself by testing your credit rating, and then work on the results to get you into the position where you want to be.

South African consumers have survived far worse conditions than -eating by candle light- or getting back to listening to a battery operating radio for entertainment and making meals at home. Careful planning and foresight would still make our homes the mainstay of our families. As human beings we are flexible enough make up our minds to devise fresh ideas, enabling us to make the necessary adjustments in our lifestyle to get through this.
